GHOST SHIP

VISUALSKIN

ROMANIA

VisualSkin created the illusion of a 3D object with two intersecting planar projections. The almost creepy apparition is beamed onto vertical, perpendicular planes of water. The wind plays an important role in achieving the desired ghostly and dreamy effect – when it picks up and blows against the streams of water, the image shakes and it’s almost like we are looking at a magnetic field.

About VisualSkin

Since 2009, Ioan-Mihai Baba has been creating video projections under the name VisualSkin. Since its foundation, VisualSkin has grown with the participation of architects Virgiliu Guraliuc, Alexandra Sucie and Diana Folea, who each exercise their own specialization. They are particularly interested in video mapping, 3D projections and open-source software. The members of VisualSkin regard their video projections as stories that should be told.
