TROPISM ART COLLECTIVE

THE NETHERLANDS

We’ve all experienced the feeling of being watched. This artwork encourages you to look at nature, but this time nature looks back. You are greeted by domes that resemble giant eyeballs. The eyes try to follow and even intimidate you.

If an unknown person comes too close, you mat respond defensively. According to some, this is also what’s happening in Europe. This work of art, which was commissioned by Amsterdam Light Festival’s children’s panel of judges, wants to emphasise the opposite: be tolerant.
